Mobile Therapy holds privacy in the highest regard. Our system conforms to all HIPAA digital and physical security protocols, which are comparable to the security standards used for high-level banking transactions. Our database and access to the web application are SSL secured and encrypted to meet AES standards. All data are stored at a maximum security SSAE 16 Type II (formerly SAS 70) certified facility that deals specifically with HIPAA protected information. We take many additional precautions to protect privacy including requiring: strong passwords, automatic logouts, automatic logging of access, data backups, powerful firewalls, and limiting access to only those individuals who absolutely need it to do their jobs.
Mobile Therapy’s flexible platform allows you to design surveys and assessments that fit to your client’s specific needs. You can pull from our library of existing programs and questions designed by leading experts in psychology and create your custom programs and questions. We offer several question formats and allow you to determine frequency of reminders to the client to complete surveys. We are currently expanding this tool to facilitate standardized assessments, diagnostic evaluations and more complex scheduling.
Often what clients have to say is the most valuable to you knowing them and understanding their struggle. In addition, a body of literature by James Pennebaker and his colleagues spanning 25+years has shown that expressive writing promotes physical health, subjective well-being, mental health, and adaptive behaviors. While the traditional manner of pen and paper is helpful, clients often forget or do not have materials handy. Our journaling feature allows clients to receive reminders and journal on their smartphone at any time.
Mobile Therapy includes a variety of visual reports that help clinicians to better understand what is happening with clients between therapy sessions. These reports can be filtered by date range and metric and facilitate progress tracking and identification of trends or critical events.
Customizable alerts can be set to flag events in which a client’s self report deviates significantly from norms. For example you can flag situations where anxiety exceeds a certain threshold. This helps you to quickly review client data and identify anomalies or monitor high-risk individuals. We are currently working to provide optional email and sms text message alerts.
iPhone and Android Apps
Mobile Therapy’s SelfEcho App is available on both iPhone and Android devices. The beautiful and intuitive app is early for clients to use and collects data without being intrusive. Just enroll your client and they will receive an email with a download link and activation code. Once installed the app will occasionally probably the client to complete surveys.
Integrated Note Taking
Mobile Therapy’s easy-to-use note taking interface gives clinicians a one-stop location to update and securely store session notes. We will soon be adding an annotation feature to the report and client data review sections of the clinician dashboard.
Tablet and Desktop Compatible
The Mobile Therapy dashboard works seamlessly with iPads and most tablets for convenient access and sharing when you don’t want to be in front of the computer.
